Control Balance

This exercise strengthens your core and stretches your whole back and lower body.

  1. Target muscles: core muscles, back, arms and legs.
  2. Benefits: strengthens your powerhouse as you raise both legs up over your head, and as you roll down to the mat. In addition, you need to use your core to keep your balance as you move your legs toward your head. It stretches your back and hamstrings.
  3. Attention: Be careful if you have neck, back or hip problems. Always listen to your body and avoid this exercise if you experience discomfort or pain.
